Cliprise Inc. ("Cliprise," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access or use our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Registration Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, password, profile photo, and any other information you choose to provide during registration.
- Payment and Billing Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan or make purchases, we collect billing information such as your name, billing address, and payment card details. Payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment processors (Stripe, Google Pay, Apple Pay) and is not stored directly on our servers except for limited transaction metadata.
- User-Generated Content: We collect and store all content you create, upload, or generate through the Service, including:
- Text prompts, instructions, and descriptions;
- Images, videos, audio files, and other media you upload as input;
- AI-generated outputs, including images, videos, and audio;
- Edits, modifications, and derivative works;
- Project files, settings, and configurations.
- Communications: We collect information when you contact our support team, participate in surveys, provide feedback, or communicate with us through email, chat, or other channels.
- Profile and Preferences: Information about your preferences, settings, and customizations within the Service.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- Usage Data: Information about your interactions with the Service, including features you use, pages or screens you view, time spent on pages, navigation paths, buttons clicked, models selected, generation parameters, credit usage, and other usage metrics.
- Device and Browser Information: Information about your device and browser, including device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, device identifiers, IP address, and general location information (country, city) derived from your IP address.
- Log Data: Server logs that record technical information such as access times, error logs, request URLs, and HTTP headers.

3.2 Training and Improving AI Models
Important: We may use content generated by free plan users to train, test, develop, and improve our AI models and algorithms, as described in our Terms of Service (Section 5.3). Content generated by paid subscribers marked as private will not be used for training purposes unless you explicitly grant permission or as required by law.
3.3 Account Management and Support
- Create, manage, and authenticate your account;
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send transactional communications;
- Respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and resolve disputes;
- Send you service-related notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
3.4 Marketing and Communications
- Send you promotional emails, newsletters, and marketing materials about new features, offers, and updates (you can opt out at any time);
- Display personalized advertisements and sponsored content;
- Run contests, promotions, and surveys.
3.5 Security, Safety, and Legal Compliance
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful or illegal activities;
- Enforce our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other policies;
- Comply with legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from public authorities;
- Protect the rights, property, and safety of Cliprise, our users, and the public.
3.6 Research and Analytics
- Conduct research, analytics, and data science to understand trends and improve our Service;
- Generate anonymized and aggregated statistics and insights for internal and external purposes.
4. Content Visibility and Public Display
4.1 Free Plan Content Visibility
Important Notice: Content generated by users on free plans may be publicly visible by default and accessible to other users and the general public through galleries, community feeds, search results, and other public-facing areas of the Service. By using a free plan, you explicitly acknowledge and consent to the public display of your generated content.
We reserve the right to feature, showcase, promote, or distribute your free plan content for marketing, promotional, educational, and research purposes as described in our Terms of Service.
4.2 Paid Plan Privacy Controls
Paid subscribers have the ability to mark their generated content as private. Private content will not be publicly displayed or used for promotional purposes, except as required by law, with your explicit consent, or as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., storage, backups, and technical operations).
5. How We Share Your Information
We share your information in the following circumstances:
5.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure for data storage, compute, and content delivery;
- Payment Processing: Stripe, Google Pay, Apple Pay for payment and billing services;
- Analytics and Performance Monitoring: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry for usage analytics and error tracking;
- Customer Support: Intercom, Zendesk for customer communication and support;
- Email and Communication Services: SendGrid, Amazon SES for transactional and marketing emails;
- Advertising and Marketing: Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads for targeted advertising;
- AI Model Providers: Third-party AI providers (e.g., Google, OpenAI, Kling, ByteDance, ElevenLabs) to process your content generation requests.
These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are prohibited from using or disclosing your information for any other purpose.
5.2 Business Transfers
If Cliprise is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, bankruptcy, or other business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service of any change in ownership or control of your personal information.
5.3 Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests, including:
- Compliance with legal obligations, court orders, subpoenas, or government requests;
- Enforcement of our Terms of Service, policies, or agreements;
- Protection of the rights, property, and safety of Cliprise, our users, or the public;
- Detection, prevention, or investigation of fraud, security incidents, or illegal activities.
5.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you explicitly authorize us to do so, such as when you connect third-party integrations or participate in partner programs.
5.5 Public Content and Community Features
If you choose to make your content public or participate in community features (e.g., forums, comments, galleries), that information will be publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines.
5.6 Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, marketing, analytics, or other purposes.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, certain data sharing practices (e.g., sharing information with advertising partners) may be considered a "sale" under some privacy laws. You have the right to opt out of such sharing as described in Section 7.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
6.1 How Long We Retain Your Information
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used:
- Account Information: Retained for the duration of your account's active status and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically 90 days after account deletion) to allow for account recovery, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Generated Content: Retained for the duration of your account's active status. Paid subscribers may delete content at any time. Free plan content may be retained indefinitely for training, promotional, and operational purposes as described in our Terms of Service.
- Usage and Analytics Data: Retained for up to 26 months for analytics and improvement purposes.
- Payment and Transaction Data: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
- Communications and Support Data: Retained for up to 3 years for customer service, dispute resolution, and training purposes.
Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely, as it cannot be used to identify you.
6.2 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time by:
- Navigating to your account settings and selecting "Delete Account";
- Contacting our support team at support@cliprise.app.
Upon account deletion, we will:
- Immediately revoke your access to the Service;
- Delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except as required for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes;
- Retain certain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and prevent abuse.
Important: Content generated on a free plan that was publicly shared or used for training purposes may not be fully deleted, as it may have been incorporated into AI models, shared publicly, or archived. Content generated on paid plans marked as private will be deleted in accordance with this policy.
6.3 Inactive Accounts
Accounts that remain inactive for more than 24 consecutive months may be automatically deleted, along with associated data, to maintain data hygiene and reduce storage costs. We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before deleting an inactive account.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, UK DPA), you may have the following rights:
7.1 Access and Portability
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request that we provide your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
7.2 Correction and Deletion
- Right to Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance).
7.3 Restriction and Objection
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit how we use your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal information for direct marketing, profiling, or other purposes based on legitimate interests.
7.4 Consent Withdrawal
Where we rely on your consent to process your information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
7.5 Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
You can opt out of receiving promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by adjusting your account communication preferences. You cannot opt out of transactional or service-related emails (e.g., account verification, billing notifications).
7.6 Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing (CCPA/CPRA)

7.8 Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority if you believe our processing of your personal information violates applicable law.
8. Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256);
- Secure authentication mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA);
- Regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing;
- Access controls and role-based permissions to limit employee access to personal information;
- Monitoring and logging of system activity to detect and respond to security incidents;

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.
9. International Data Transfers
Cliprise is based in the United States, and your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.
When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries that do not provide an adequate level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission;
- Adequacy decisions by the European Commission;
- Your explicit consent.

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not operated or controlled by Cliprise. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy;
- Notify you via email or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect;
- Obtain your consent where required by applicable law.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Privacy Policy, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
