Spacing and "breathing room"

How to review shadows
Scrub frame by frame at 1x on a phone, then again at 0.25x on desktop:
- Pick one object with a clear contact line (a bottle base, a notebook corner, a plate rim).
- Watch whether the dark contact stays glued to that edge.
- Watch whether neighboring objects keep the same shadow length.
- Reject if any item separates from its shadow for more than a brief interpolation wobble.

9:16 is not a cropped 1:1
If the kit is wide (stationery row, cheese board, apparel laid horizontally), a vertical crop will amputate pieces. Rebuild the still as a vertical stack: hero item in the upper third, supporting items in the middle, caption space lower third. Then animate.
If you need both a square listing clip and a vertical ad, treat them as two source stills, not one generation with two exports. Motion that is safe in a square can push a bottle into the caption zone in 9:16.
Caption and UI chrome
Social and app UI covers the lower portion and sometimes the top. Marketplace zoom UI can cover corners. Keep SKUs out of those bands in the still, not only in the editor. Image-to-video will not protect a caption zone unless the still already has empty space there.
